We believe our process is just one of many factors that have led to our send out to placement ratio of 2:1 among the lowest in the industry-and the reason why 90 percent of our business is with long-standing clients.
One of the distinct aspects of our firm is the comprehensive, proprietary database we maintain on the top performing individuals in the national home building industry. Assessment of Company and Position Requirements
For each search, we employ a vigorous assessment of your business growth needs, including a review of your overall growth plans, the specific requirements of the position you are seeking to fill. From the outset, we meet with the CEO/Principal to:
Understand and articulate CEO assessment of what is needed.
Understand and articulate company culture
Identify, review and comprehend professional qualifications and personal characteristics of candidate for the position
Identify, review and comprehend detailed position responsibilities
Identify, review and agree to salary requirements/benefits offered
Establish time frame from the interview to the hire
Pre-Screening and Active Recruiting
Once this initial step is completed, typicall within one or two meetings, we embark on identifying the very best candidates that meet the agreed-upon competencies. Utilizing our proprietary database of individuals, extensive networks with key players in the industry, relationships with competitors and specialized recruitment methods, we:
Develop a field of the most highly qualified candidates
Personally contact and work with potential candidates
Hold weekly conference call with client
Conduct in-person interviews with the high qualified/high probability candidates
Initiate first phase reference checks
Conduct rigorous pre-screening
Narrow the field to the top two or three candidates
Facilitate interviews and client/candidate feeback
Refine, as needed, the profile and recruiting strategy
Post-Screening and Closing
Nowhere is our process more critical than in the final selection and negotiation stage with the top candidate. Once you select/affirm the leading candidate, we again revisit with you the qualifications of the position, the candidate's unique strenghts and other dimensions of what your company needs. The purpose of this key exercise is to insure that the preferred candidate is the right fit for your company- today and into the future.
Through this stage, Frank Owens Ltd. offers an unbiased, candid and expert assessment in evaluating the strengths of the preferred and top candidates to insure a success hire. When you have reaffirmed that this is the right choice for your company, we facilitate the hiring process by:
Providing market and competitor compensation information to client to determine the proposed compensation package
Continually monitoring and emphasizing client's priorities, interests and needs
Formally extend the employment terms on client's behalf
Communicate client/candidate feedback
If the best fit, encourage closure of negotiation phase
Issue the offer letter on behalf of the client
Advise and prepare the candidate in responding to a counter-offer from the current employer
Prepare the candidate for the resignation and departure from current employer
Advise the client on transition process to ensure that the new hire is immediately welcomed and integrated into the company.
Post Hiring
In our firm, it's all about relationships. We deliver on this fundamental value by remaining connected to both you and your new hire. We do this to ensure that the employer/employee relationship is optimal from the first day of their association.
Personally contact the individual on the first day, first week, 30th day of every quarter
Personally contact the client the first week, first month and every quarter
Personally visit with both client and new employee in the first quarter
